Vessels of God
I appreciate all the positive feedback, from the livestream. “Powerfully anointed service” was one of many messages received. We covered many points on healing and deliverance, so here are some takeaways from the discussion.
When we approach healing, we must remember that we are vessels of the Most High. According to Isaiah 53, Jesus already bought our healing. Past tense. We don’t beg God for healing. We don’t ask “God, if it is your will…” It is always His will to heal. He doesn’t show favoritism. When I pray for myself, I say, “Lord, thank you for your healing, and what you’ve done for me. I have received your healing, and I believe it will manifest in the physical.
When we approach deliverance, this is a topic that the church has mostly avoided. But that is changing. I see many people willing to learn. Here are some keys to deliverance. First of all, we must recognize there are physical and spiritual aspects to deliverance. I once prayed for a friend, who fell down the stairs, as I entered the room. Immediately, I rushed over and prayed. An instant miracle took place, and his pain was gone. This is an example of physical healing.
Lessons From Revival
As for the spiritual aspect, there is a story from revival times, where a woman was on her deathbed. Following the instructions in the book of James, the elders were called to anoint her with oil and pray for her. Among those standing, one of them asked the woman, if there was someone she needed to forgive. At first, she felt anger and she refused. But as the session continued, her heart softened. As an act of her will, she decided to forgive the person who hurt her. Immediately, the sickness left her! She got up from her bed.
This step discussed in the broadcast, emphasizes there are times when sin hinders our healing. In this example, unforgiveness needed to be dealt with. She needed to loose it from her soul, it needed to be renounced. That broke the LEGAL RIGHT of the enemy, and then she was free to receive her healing. Remember that the enemy is a legalist. A demon will take advantage of your free will decision, and stay as long as possible. We have the power of life and death in our tongue. It’s important to watch our words, lest we open the door to the enemy. We cannot let the devil have a foothold. But glory be to God, who gives us these tools for deliverance!
Saved, Healed, and Delivered
In order to be delivered, we must surrender to God. Then we renounce any sin we committed, or in some cases, an act committed against us. (trauma, abuse) When we rencounce, we unlock the chains that are on us. Worship songs mention chains, but you must know there are real chains around people. Even around Christians who need deliverance! But when we renounce, we unlock those shackles. Then the anointing of God comes and DESTROYS THOSE CHAINS!!!
Jesus is the one who enters the room. He heals people and casts out demons. When He comes, everyone can be healed and set free! Be encouraged, and know that God loves you, and wants to spend eternity with you.
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
